Davide Basile

REGULATORY AFFAIRS SPECIALIST

Describe a day at Sintetica:
My day at Sintetica always starts with a coffee. As a member of the Regulatory Affairs department, my tasks mainly involve reviewing and submitting regulatory dossiers to obtain new marketing authorizations or updating existing ones, ensuring that all data complies with current requirements. Pharmaceutical regulations vary by country, so it’s often necessary to work closely with international partners and stay updated on different guidelines.

Effective communication is very important, as we are the main contact between the regulatory authorities and the company. The day goes by quickly through meetings and discussions about new projects or product updates. Collaborating with various departments, such as Pharmaceutical Development, Clinical, Pharmacovigilance and Marketing & Commercial, provides a unique multidisciplinary overview.

However, work is not everything, and it is great sometimes to share breaks or lunch with colleagues to recharge the batteries. Each day at Sintetica presents new challenges and learning opportunities, making the work experience both exciting and enjoyable.

What do you enjoy most about working here?
One of the things I appreciate most is the support and encouragement I receive from my team. My colleagues are always available to help and share their knowledge, creating an environment where I can continuously learn and improve my skills. Additionally, the company's flexibility in managing working hours, personal needs and remote working allows me to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

What is your educational background, and how has it contributed to your current role with us?
I have been interested in scientific studies since childhood, which led me to graduate with a master’s degree in Pharmacy and a postgraduate master’s in Regulatory Disciplines. This educational background has been very important for my work, providing me with a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical sector with a special focus on the regulatory landscape.
