To strengthen our Quality control team at our headquarters in Mendrisio (Switzerland), we are currently looking for a part-time Junior Microbiology Lab Technician (50% occupancy).

Position Description
As a Laboratory Technician, the candidate will take care of all the activities associated with quality control in the pharmaceutical field within our Quality Control department, both in production processes, incoming materials and in sterile injectable finished products.

  • Sampling and analysis of process water
  • Microbiological and particle environmental monitoring
  • Bioburden solutions
  • Microbiological and physicochemical analysis of semi-finished and finished products
  • Production process control procedures
  • Quality control testing on incoming packaging materials
  • Quality control testing on incoming lab materials
  • Microorganism identification
  • Reagent preparation
  • Laboratory equipment and materials management in accordance to company standards
  • Laboratory documentation management


Qualification and Skills
  • Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training in biology (VET/AFC) obtained or next to be obtained and/or equivalent degree.
  • Professional experience within a Laboratory not exceeding 2 years (0 -2)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with great attention to detail
  • Positive can-do attitude and strong sense of responsibility
  • The knowledge of English and French are considered an asset
